God has equipped you to handle difficult things. In fact, He has already planted the seeds of discipline and self-control inside you. You just have to water those seeds with His Word to make them grow! – Joyce Meyer
Changing lives, Transforming Families, Impacting Communities
One changed life can affect an entire family. One changed family can affect an entire community. It’s true. At Men of Hope, we are fully invested in changing lives – one man at a time. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Conforming is easy. Transforming not so much. By transforming the behaviors and thinking of someone caught in the cycle of addiction takes time. It’s not easy, but it’s the key to breaking the cycle of addiction.
Through the ongoing work of our dedicated staff and counselors, pastoral support, and volunteers in almost every area of the recovery….transformation begins to happen one day at a time, one step at a time. The work of transformation is not taken lightly, but the hard work of recovery does begin every day with making a decision to follow the path of a transformed mind. One of our greatest blessings is watching the Men of Hope re-enter their communities, families, and church homes as a living testimony of the transformation process. We regularly share these testimonies at the invitation of churches, pastors, and community organizations.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
