How to Help

It’s not about how you give, it’s what you give that makes a difference.

Alisha, 34

I had a bunch of 100 mg Fentanyl patches. I put one on and I didn’t feel any effect, so I put another one on and so on. They told me when I woke up two weeks later in ICU on life-support that they found a total of five patches on me. The doctor said they didn’t think I would make it; and if I did, there would be a chance that I would have brain damage. The doctor told me that it was miracle that I was still alive.

After that, my addiction increased to shooting heroin and prostituting to support my drug habit. However through Women of Hope, I’ve been able to begin to deal with my past and learn how to process my feelings. God has restored my family. Most of all, my relationship with God has been restored. God has given me a peace that is unexplainable. He has taken my brokenness and turned it into light.

We covet your prayers not only for our residents, but for our dedicated staff and workers that help each man and woman break the vicious cycle of addiction.

Donations are our lifeline. All gift amounts are greatly appreciated. Foundation donations directly help cover the cost of the recovery program.

Our Hope Muffins and Treats raise money for the program and it gives the residents a learning experience as they make and package them to sell.

The Women of Hope have a touching program of songs and liturgical dance that will inspire everyone. Help us share about our program with an invitation.

I never want to turn away a man or woman seeking help based on finances alone. Recovery should not be about who has the money and who doesn’t. We have found that most of our residents have exhausted and literally “used up” all available means of financial resources, be it their own or that of their families. Most men and women enter our recovery program with just the clothes on their backs.

With your help, we get to share with them that God will heal their pasts, presents, and futures to give them a life where they can hold their heads up and not be filled with guilt and shame. We’ve seen countless lives restored and forever changed. We appreciate any support that you’re able to give.

Thank you,
Marcie Hendrick, Executive Director

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together
and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Luke 6:38 NIV

God provides for our needs in many ways; but the truth is we need donations to fill the gaps in our budget. The donations we receive allow us to feed, clothe, house, and provide a safe and loving atmosphere where lives and hearts can change and heal.
